The 2004 Lauren Christian Swine Genetics Symposium will be held Dec. 9 and 10 in Ames, IA, as part of the National Swine Improvement Federation annual meeting.
The program aims to provide a global perspective on genetic improvement programs, new research initiatives and genetic trends to shape the future direction of pork production.
Specific talks will address breeding programs and evaluation techniques to enhance the quality and palatability characteristics of pork.
