Dr. Steve Meyer, Paragon Economics, will present a seminar today, Wed., Jan. 25, at the Iowa Pork Congress entitled, "Riding the Roller Coaster: Economic Outlook." The seminar will take place from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in Hy-Vee Hall, Lower Level, Rooms 5 and 6.
Input prices remained volatile through 2011 as questions surrounding corn availability were top-of-mind to all involved in agriculture. Meyer will evaluate trends in grain prices, export markets, domestic demand, world economy and other influential market factors to give his audience an idea what the 2012 roller coaster may have in store for pork producers.
This seminar is sponsored by National Hog Farmer and Meyer is a regular contributor to National Hog Farmer's Weekly Preview newsletter.
