Pork Exports Gain in 2012
According to the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), U.S. pork exports for the first 11 months of 2012 continued to outpace the records set in 2011.

According to the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF), U.S. pork exports for the first 11 months of 2012 continued to outpace the records set in 2011. Through November of 2012, pork exports rose 5% to nearly 1.7 million metric tons, while the value for the period increased 4% to more than $5 billion. The largest increase through November was in Eastern Europe where volume increased 365% and sales rose to $8.7 million compared to $2.4 million in 2011.
