Pork Board Picks Health Director

The National Pork Board has selected Patrick Webb, DVM, as director of swine health programs.

Webb worked with the Agriculture Department to help develop a facilities manual for highly contagious diseases for the dairy industry. He also assisted the state of South Carolina with food security, biosecurity and agroterrorism programs.

Before that he worked with the Iowa Department of Agriculture as foreign animal disease program coordinator, where he developed the department’s emergency preparedness plan for animal disease disasters.
