On Wednesday, the House of Representatives will consider legislation that will repeal country-of-origin labeling requirements for beef, pork and chicken. The United States has to change its policy or face significant retaliatory tariffs from Canada and Mexico as a result of the United States losing its final appeal to the World Trade Organization. The United States has exhausted all appeals and the USDA says it will take legislative action for the United States to come into compliance.
