Recent press reports indicate Russia plans to extend its embargo on imported foods including beef, pork, and poultry until the end of 2017. Russia imposed its current embargo in 2014 against the U.S, Australia, Canada, Norway, and EU countries as a result of sanctions placed on Russia by various countries concerning the conflict in Ukraine.
