Legacy Holdings Group, LLC has announced the acquisition of Big Stone Marketing, LLC.  Big Stone is a leading hog marketing agency that represents hog producers across the Midwest. The company was previously owned by Pipestone and Big Gain. The new ownership group consists of: Brian Stevens, Chris McCulloh, Christine Colemer, Ashley Jasper and Shane Johnson.

The transition to new ownership is expected to be seamless as four out of the five new owners have been with Big Stone Marketing, managing and operating the business for years. Legacy's managing partner Stevens, states "The new ownership group looks forward to continuing and building upon our current relationships with our producer-clients and our packer-partners."

The sale is scheduled to close on Oct. 27.  As part of the sale, the company will relocate to South Dakota and change their name to Legacy Marketing Partners, LLC. 

Transitioning to a stand-alone company allows Legacy Marketing’s experienced partners to better serve a wider cross-section of the industry with marketing agreement consultation, logistics and spot cash hog marketing services.
