Discussions continue at a feverish level between Sens. Pat Roberts (R-KS), chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), ranking member of the committee, in trying to reach a final agreement on GMO labeling. As of last Friday, there were a few items still to be resolved.
One being products that contain meat (soups, sauces, etc.). The Senators are working to reach a final agreement so the Senate can immediately consider the measure and then send it to the House which has only four legislative days left before the Vermont GMO labeling law goes into effect.
