Registration for the free virtual Carthage Spring Symposium, to be held Tuesday, April 27, is now open.

The event will leverage experts from around the world to share their perspective on markets and producer opportunities in 2021. It will also provide an update on a large, 84,000 sow farrow-to-finish operation in China as well as discuss vaccines and other innovations.

In addition to the normal roster of industry experts, the event’s keynote speaker will be Coach Bret Beilema, head football coach of the University of Illinois. Beilema grew up on a farrow-to-finish hog farm in Prophetstown, Illinois before going on to a championship coaching career in both NCAA and NFL levels. Beilema will share how his farm background and upbringing has directly prepared him for his current role as a head coach.

Several breakout sessions will tackle a variety of topics, including PRRS control, swine respiratory disease, managing body condition, improving growth performance of growing-finishing pigs, weaning age and managing feed costs.

Registration for the free event can be completed online here.
