National Hog Farmer is sending a (saliva-filled--we're drooling) shout-out to Sunset Terrace Elementary School in Rochester, MN. As part of an effort to fund a new playground, the school is hosting an event called,  "BaconFest 2013" on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Canadian Honker Events Center at the Ramada Hotel in Rochester. 

The event is part of Rochester's Winterfest celebration. According to organizers, BaconFest 2013 will feature "endless amounts of bacon dishes," live entertainment, a silent auction and prizes for attendees. 

We've checked out the menu (back to the drooling). BaconFest 2013 features bacon macaroni and cheese, baked potato soup, bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, sweet potato bacon endive, bacon pinwheels, bacon sundaes, bacon chocolate, and something called the "tower of bacon," among other tantalizing entrees.
