2021 has been a challenging year for many pig producers from a health perspective, specifically with severe gut health problems. Pork Veterinary Solutions and Olmix will be sharing experience on this topic and provide tools and solutions to help manage gut health in pig farms.

Dr. Dylan Lape

Dr. Dylan Lape grew up in the small town of Lebanon PA raising exhibition poultry along with his brother and father. He attended the Pennsylvania State University in State College PA and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and a minor in Poultry and Avian Sciences in 2014. He then attended Purdue University and graduated with a D.V.M. in 2018. Dr. Lape got his interest in swine working at the Penn State Swine Farm and continued to develop that interest throughout Vet School. Dr. Lape joined Pork Veterinary Solutions in July of 2018, where he works with independent swine producers, contract growers, and large integrators. As a whole, Pork Veterinary Solutions oversees the production of approx. 1.5 million pigs a year. He still raises exhibition poultry locally and enjoys showing across the Midwest in his spare time.

Marie Gallissot

Olmix

Marie Gallissot obtained a master’s degree in animal science at the University of Tours, France, where she benefitted from the proximity of INRA (National Institute of Agronomic Research) to develop knowledge in the poultry sector. In 2010 she joined Olmix Asia Pacific team in Vietnam to develop the technical department, supporting sales development across Southeast and Northern Asia. For the past ten years, she has been settled in Olmix headquarters in France. While immersed in one of the world’s leading animal production areas (Brittany), she has participated in the development of new products for Olmix, while maintaining technical service activities in different areas. For the past 4 years, she has been working as Product Manager, providing technical support and expertise on a dedicated range of feed additives worldwide, with a particular focus in the United States.
