Part 1

Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson start of remembering Sept. 11, 2001. Next, Mike gets a crop update from Scott Vanderwal, President, South Dakota Farm Bureau and they talk a new insurance program and stepped-up basis. Mike talks with Kevin Good, Cattlefax, to take a deep dive in the livestock market.

Part 2

Kevin Good, Cattlefax, rejoins Mike to talk about the export markets for beef. Mike then reviews the WASDE report. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby looks at the latest iPhone, coming out later this week.

Part 3

Max and Mike talk about Husker Harvest Days where irrigation and livestock take center stage. Max talks with Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts about a technology summit that will also be at Husker Harvest Days that his office is sponsoring. Max talks to Mark Core of Vermeer whose autonomous bale gatherer, the Bale Hawk, will be on display at the event. Next up, Max talks with Rich Guebert, Illinois Farm Bureau about how they connect with legislators.

Part 4

In the BASF Plan Smart Grow Smart series, Max talks with Andy Kapp of Clarksdale, Mo about how their no till operation has improved over the years. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins the show the weekly weather forecast.

Part 6

In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces an International 1456 owned by Alex Kerr of Mt. Sterling, Illinois. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Mike Pearson chats with Trenton Jones, Missouri FFA State Vice President. He joined FFA by accident and fell in love with the organization.

Part 7

Max talks with Jim Ogonowski of Dracut, Mass. His brother John was the pilot of American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. John was a farmer and an officer with the Massachusetts Farm Bureau.
