Part 1
Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson are at the desk this week and start off with a report from the national meeting of the National Association of Farm Broadcasters, including an interview with Greg Doud, former trade negotiator and Ted McKinney, former USDA official. Mike Pearson talks with Senator Chuck Grassley on his livestock bill. Mike Pearson talks markets with Clayton Pope of Clayton Pope Commodities to talk about the weather challenges for planting in the corn belt and what’s happening in Brazil.

Clayton Pope of Clayton Pope Commodities rejoins Mike to discuss the tumult in the wheat market and demand for sobyeans. In the Colby Ag Tech segment Chad Colby looks at the latest in tillage equipment.
Part 3
Max and Mike are back recapping their time at the NAFB meetings in Washington, D.C. They heard from Retired Admiral Dennis McGinn about the effect of energy prices and climate change on America’s military. Max also gets into the rescue of some farmers from a grain bin last week.
Part 4
Max and Mike return, to discuss stress and mental health for farmers. Max talks with behavioral consultant, Adrienne Desutter about mental health, focusing on women especially with Mother’s Day on the way. Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje joins the show with the weekly weather forecast.

Part 6
In Max’s Tractor Shed, Max introduces a 1955 Ferguson TEF 23, that worked fields in England along the shore. The salt-water damaged tractor was restored by Ian Whitburn in Cornwall, England. In the FFA Chapter Tribute Mike Pearson chats with Amara Livingston, Wisconsin State Parliamentarian, a role that keeps the trains running on time. Her highlight has been meeting fellow FFA students across the state.
Part 7
Max and Mike return to talk about Mothers’ Day on the farm. Next, they hear from several farm moms telling their stories.
