On May 20th the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Department of Animal Science will help co-host a symposium focusing on the impact of increased litter sizes on pig quality.
The event will be held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Animal Science Building.
A variety of industry experts will be featured, speaking on a wide range of topics. Daniel Ciobanu, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will speak on the genomic analysis of sow fertility and lifetime productivity.
Representing the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center will be Clay Lents, addressing the long-term impact of neonatal hog events on adult phenotype and productivity, as well as discussing possible ways to manage it.
The symposium will end with a discussion about pork industry reproduction research needs.
