The North American PRRS Symposium is set for December 4, 2020, in Chicago, Illinois. Initiated in November 2003 as the “International Workshop on PRRS,” the conference continues to focus on the latest knowledge and novel tools for the control of PRRS, one of the most costly viral diseases to ever face a global swine industry.

In recent years, the emergence of new swine viruses, including the PEDV and ASFV, has expended the topics of this symposium to emerging and foreign swine diseases. The symposium has integrated with NC229, which provides the means to deliver a much larger and more comprehensive meeting experience.

The meeting is attended by an internationally recognized group of scientists, researchers, industry and academic professionals and students. Continuing education credit is available for veterinarians.

This year’s event is also scheduled to be held in connection with the Conference of Research Workers in Animal Diseases (CRWAD).

Additional information about the program and schedule of events will be available in the future. To register for the event, click here.
