National Farm Safety & Health Week may be over, but the team at Christensen Farms based in Sleepy Eye, Minn., realizes the message is relevant year round, and that everyone plays an important role when it comes to our safety and health.
At Christensen Farms, safety is a foundational principle guiding our dedication to employees, contractors partners and communities. Through individual and team effort, we continuously seek to improve our safety culture, demonstrate leadership and set new standards for the good of all of the people who directly and indirectly play a key role in accomplishing our noble mission of producing food for a growing world.
It doesn't matter if you are caring for livestock, harvesting your crops or tending to a multitude of other responsibilities this harvest season, or throughout the year, it is imperative for everyone to remain accountable to practice, recognize and celebrate the importance of their own safety and health for themselves and their loved ones.
As our "safety" motto says: "be smart; think it through; safety begins with you." And to recognize this critical topic and hectic time of year, members of the Christensen Farms leadership team joined together to share in the following video what makes safety so important to them and our team.
