Pharmgate Animal Health welcomed two new members to the company’s leadership team this week. Randy Buller joins Pharmgate Animal Health as vice president of Global Sales, Marketing and Technical Service, and Charles Francisco, DVM, has been appointed as the company’s director of Veterinary Technical Services.
Both moves reaffirm Pharmgate’s focus on bringing industry-leading animal health products to producers and veterinarians while providing the very best in technical support and service.
Buller brings more than 35 years of sales, marketing and management experience to the company. Prior to Pharmgate, he served as the president and CEO of Paragon Animal Health LLC since 2017, and previously had spent time in leadership positions at Merial Ltd. and Newport Laboratories, as well as Boehringer Ingelheim, Eli Lilly & Co. and Elanco. In his new role, Buller will oversee Pharmgate’s sales, marketing and technical service departments.
“The opportunity to join the team at Pharmgate Animal Health is one that I’m extremely excited about,” Buller says. “With the investments Pharmgate has made in its people, its facilities and its supply chain, I firmly believe that we are an organization primed for growth and success in a space that is ripe for innovation as well as the reliability of outstanding products and service.”
Buller’s experience in market analysis, strategic planning and business development make him a great fit for Pharmgate Animal Health, says Colin Gray, Pharmgate president and CEO.
“We are confident Randy is going to bring strength and leadership to our entire organization, but specifically our sales, marketing and technical services teams,” Gray says.
Francisco will be responsible for leading Pharmgate’s technical service team, specializing in both pharmaceuticals and biologicals, including porcine circovirus and mycoplasma hyopneumoniae.
Prior to his role with Pharmgate Animal Health, Francisco was the director of Technical Service for JBS United Animal Health. He also worked at Merck Animal Health as director of Swine Veterinary Technical Services after serving as a technical service veterinarian for Intervet Schering-Plough and Hoechst Roussel Agri Vet.
“Bringing my swine health and veterinary services expertise to Pharmgate is an opportunity that I believe will help drive our technical service levels and product development to the next level for our customers,” Francisco says. “The opportunity to join a growing, exciting organization with such focus on product and customer support is a great fit to what I’ll bring to the team.”
Also joining the Pharmgate Technical Services team is Fabian Chamba as research scientist for Clinical Development. Chamba has spent nearly three years as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota pursuing his PhD while specializing in influenza epidemiology in pigs, including the transmission of swine flux to piglets.
Pharmgate is well-positioned to continue growing its range of products through new innovation and ongoing research that solves practical challenges facing producers and veterinarians in the United States and around the world.
“Our goal at Pharmgate is to be a partner to our customers, both through great products and premium service and support,” Gray says. “Randy, Charles and Fabian’s experience will help us to continue fulfilling that mission and I’m thrilled for the work they are going to do with the excellent team we currently have in place.”
