Long Time Employee of Indiana Packers Corp. to Retire as President

Gary Jacobson, the current president and chief operating officer of Indiana Packers Corp. (IPC), will retire at the end of March, the company recently announced in a news release.
Jacobsen spent more than half of his 40-year career in the industry with IPC. He's credited with helping the Delphi, Ind.-based company grow from a relatively small operation to one of the top 10 (based on slaughter capacity - 17,000 head per day) hog processing plants in the United States.

Upon retirement Jacobsen will work as an advisor and continue to serve on the board of IPC until the end of May.
Jacobsen will be succeeded by Russell Yearwood, the company's executive vice president. Yearwood has more than 35 years of leadership experience in the industry, with the last 20 years spent in various senior management positions with IPC.
