Commodity Classic gets underway today in Houston, Texas. Mike Pearson takes a look at the massive event.

Mike Pearson tells listeners what attendees can expect at this year's Commodity Classic.
The annual event brings farmers and allied associates together for four days. It will be full of commodity meetings, policy updates, education, tours and a massive trade show.
In addition, Max Armstrong and Mike Pearson will be taping "This Week in Agribusiness" at the CASE IH location from 3 p.m.- 5 p.m. today (Wednesday). The duo will be talking with Jim McCormick from AgMarket.net about the markets. In addition, the show will highlight industry leaders and what CASE IH has to show.
The soybean growers, the National Corn Growers Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, sorghum growers and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers are all part of the show.
Last year, the show attracted 10,400 people and organizers are hopeful the record attendance will be broken again especially with the Houston Rodeo happening not farm from the trade show.
Two leaders will kick off Wednesday morning. They include U.S. Secretary of Ag Tom Vilsack and Michael Regan from the U.S. EPA. to talk about what is happening in the USA including the growing bio-economy.
