Ambassador Siddiqui to Leave USTR

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative’s chief agriculture negotiator, Ambassador Islam Siddiqui, will be stepping down early next year.  U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman said, Ambassador Siddiqui had “played a key role in the Panama, Colombia, and Korea free trade agreements as well as progress on a variety of bilateral, plurilateral, and multilateral issues, most recently the successful WTO outcome in Bali this week.”  Ambassador Siddiqui served as Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs during the Clinton administration.
