Health, risk management and research updates headline the program at the 2010 Kansas State Swine Industry Day, Nov. 18 at the Kansas State Alumni Center on the school’s campus in Manhattan.
Steve Henry, DVM, Abilene (KS) Animal Hospital, will present “Failure to Thrive: Is an Emerging Viral Disease the Cause?”
Joe Kerns, Risk Assessment and Management, Iowa City, IA, will discuss “Managing Risk in Today’s Swine Industry.”
The Kansas State Swine Team will present “Update on Current Kansas State Swine Research to Help Improve the Net Return of a Swine Business.”
The program concludes with an ice cream reception to provide an opportunity to visit with pork producers and enjoy some Kansas State hospitality.
