Biosecurity fact sheets available for international travel
National Hog Farmer

By Harry Snelson, American Association of Swine Veterinarians
The Iowa State University’s Center for Food Security and Public Health, in collaboration with the American Association of Swine Veterinarians and the Pork Checkoff, has developed two fact sheets addressing biosecurity for international travelers (Traveling Overseas?) and foreign visitors (Hosting International Visitors on Your Farm).

These documents highlight actions you and your visitors should take to minimize the risk of transboundary and foreign animal disease transmission when returning home from international travel or visiting from a foreign country. The documents can be downloaded from the CFSPH website.
