Dr. Bob Thompson, DVM, MS
Bob Thompson joined PIC USA in 1991 as Inventory & Quality Control and Transportation manager. Starting in 1996 he was responsible for PIC KY Owned Farms and a North Carolina DN. Following the Genetic Nucleus PRRS Elimination programs in 2000, Thompson began working with Contract Multiplication and Boar studs. In 2004, he became dedicated to the Health Assurance Department and worked more with customers in Health Services. Thompson retired from PIC in 2019, but continues to do some swine consulting and work with his beef cow operation.
Thompson spent his younger days in northwest Iowa. Following graduation from Iowa State University with a DVM, he practiced in Nebraska for several years. In 1989, he left practice to pursue a master's program at the University of Illinois. He and his wife, Deb, reside in Franklin, Ky.
Dr. Pete Thomas, DVM, MS
Pete Thomas is currently director of Health Services for Iowa Select Farms.
Thomas graduated in 2007 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine with a master's of science degree in preventive medicine and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation, he was in private practice in Worthington, Minn., and then a staff veterinarian with Smithfield Foods before joining Iowa Select Farms.

Kevin Schulz joined National Hog Farmer as a senior content specialist in June 2014 after a long career as the editor of The Land magazine, an agricultural-rural life publication based in Mankato, Minn.
Schulz attended South Dakota State University, majoring in agricultural journalism.
