Part 1

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong open this show with a report from Al Gustin, who looks at the impact of the drought in the Dakotas. Max shares a look at crops in Minnesota talking with Jamie Jones, Farmer's Co-op Association, Kiester, Minn. In the Farm Challenge of the Week, Matt Darr, Iowa State University, talks about the tools and tactics farmers have to better manage crops in the season. And Farm Broadcaster, Joe Gangwish, KRVN, Lexington, Neb., offers a look at issues farmers are following in that part of the country.

Part 2

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong talk markets with Mark Feight, International Agribusiness Group. In Samuelson Sez, Orion Samuelson finds that asking questions of viewers, doesn't bring answers, but does bring criticism. And Agricultural Meteorologist Greg Soulje looks at weather for the Western United States.

Part 3

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong open this segment with a look at the upcoming Half-Century of Progress Event with a look back at the display of fire control equipment on hand, including Max's "seat time" in one of those vintage rigs. The show will be in Rantoul, Ill., Aug. 23-27. And Max shares a few of his Tweets of the Week.

Orion and Max Armstrong open this segment with the latest installment of Freeways to Farms, talking with Justin Martz, Larson Farms, Maple Park, Ill., about the operation's use of technology. Greg Soulje offers a look at weather for the Eastern United States. And in Max's Tractor Shed, Max offers the story of a 1951 Massey Harris 44, which is one of the five tractors restored by the Delphi FFA chapter. This tractor is owned by Tom Bechman, editor, Indiana Prairie Farmer.

Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong continue their market conversation with Mark Feight, International Agribusiness Group, with a look at what farmers should be doing at this point in the market.
