Max Armstrong offers some startling statistics on the challenge of feral hogs

December 30, 2021

Max Armstrong reports on the problem of feral hog with more than 6 million in habiting more than 35 states from Hawaii to North Carolina. Max notes that the population can double in size in as little as four months, and they can weigh up to 500 pounds. Descended from domestic pigs, these wild hogs do considerable damage to crops and property. And they're not picky about what they eat.

Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
