Leyton Becker, Maddie Patterson and Emelia Melson recently spent the Minnesota Pork Congress rubbing elbows with the leader's of the state’s swine industry.

The youth movement in the Minnesota pork industry is in good hands, the hands of Leyton Becker, Maddie Patterson and Emelia Melson.

Becker, Patterson and Melson are the state’s Pork Ambassador, first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively. Becker and Melson both originate from Martin County, while Patterson is from Kenyon in Goodhue County. Though their origins differ, the passion that they have for the swine industry is similar.

The three were chosen in the ambassador program last summer, and the Minnesota State Fair and the recent Minnesota Pork Congress were the big events for them to help tell the pork industry story, as well as rub elbows with industry leaders.

Listen to that passion in their own words in this video.
