Dec. 15 is the deadline to donate items for the annual American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) Foundation Auction.
The AASV Foundation Auction Committee has dedicated the 2015 fundraiser in honor of two of the foundation’s most passionate supporters, the late-Rod Johnson and his wife, Jean, of Alexandria, MN. The auction will take place March 2 during the AASV Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL.
Rod Johnson, who passed away May 22, was Foundation president in 2008 when he challenged the membership to raise $50,000. The membership responded by raising over $70,000 that year, setting high expectations for the future of the Foundation. His continued participation on the auction committee helped raise more than $100,000 in 2013 and 2014. There’s no better way to honor his vision and thank Jean for her support than to donate an item and then participate in the auction by bidding early and often.
