More and more consumers are questioning the way hogs are being raised. It is important that the correct individuals answer these questions. While social media has opened the world up to many different things, it also has allowed hog farmers to share real stories from the barns while still maintaining biosecurity measures. Online conversations about animal agriculture are happening every moment of the day. It is easy to join the discussion by just simply sharing true, genuine stories from the barn.
The Pork Checkoff launched the social media outreach program to help real farmers share real stories with consumers through #RealPigFarming. During May we celebrated the pig farmers who embrace sharing their passion for raising pigs on social media platforms with the #RealPigFarming Challenge.
