HyLife CEO Grant Lazaruk to retire

Karan Sangfai, currently serving as HyLife’s chief strategic officer, will step into position in March.

HyLife President and CEO Grant Lazaruk has announced his retirement as of Feb. 29.

The firm says Lazaruk’s contributions have been invaluable, and he leaves a legacy of community partnerships. He has been an integral part of HyLife, joining the company in 1997. As CEO since 2010, Lazaruk guided HyLife through both prosperous and challenging times, ensuring its continued growth and resilience.

“We have a solid leadership team at HyLife. I feel the timing is right for me to transition and focus more on community-minded initiatives, such as the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba. I want to continue to give back where I can, to support my neighbors and the place I call home. I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family and grandchildren,” said Lazaruk.

Torch passed to seasoned successor  

Karan Sangfai, currently serving as HyLife’s Chief Strategic Officer, will officially step into the position of president and CEO, on March 1. Since 2022, Sangfai has been a major part of the leadership team and has immersed himself in the Steinbach community over the past two years. He is a seasoned global leader who harbors a deep understanding of the business and embodies company values.

“I am honored to take on this role. It is a privilege to lead a company with such a strong reputation. On behalf of the shareholders, I would like to thank Grant for his many years of service to HyLife,” said Sangfai.
