Illinois farmers welcome the opportunity to discuss the 2018 farm bill and other key agriculture issues with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue during the fourth leg of his “Back to our Roots” five-state tour. During his visit to Illinois at the Beaty Farm in rural Sangamon County surrounded by corn fields near Rochester, Ill., Perdue reassures the agriculture community he is committed to closely working with Congress to make good facts-based, data-driven decisions when building a farm bill program.
