Melissa Hensch graduated from Iowa State University with her DVM in 2010. She practiced swine exclusive consulting for three years with Innovative Ag Solutions in Ames, Iowa. She then started with The Maschhoffs in 2013. Dr. Hensch started as a herd veterinarian, followed by leading WTM health. Dr. Hensch also served as the Director of Production with over 20 employees for several years. In her role today as the Director of Health and Animal Care, she leads a team of seven herd veterinarians in addition to The Maschhofffs’ animal care and veterinary technicians. Dr. Hensch is charged with system level strategy of animal health and animal care.

Amy Maschhoff earned her veterinary degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2015 and began her career as herd veterinarian for The Maschhoffs in one of their commercial regions. Dr. Maschhoff then transitioned to work within the Technical Operations region for two years and now serves as the Associate Director of Health for the Maschhoff system and supports seven regional veterinarians. Additionally, Dr. Maschhoff leads the health assurance strategy for Acuity genetics.
