Preserving Ag Lab Research

To ensure that cutting-edge swine research continues at the Haskell Ag Lab, at the Northeast Nebraska Research Station in Concord, NE, the Nebraska Pork Producers Association (NPPA) has committed to providing the founding gift for the Haskell Ag Lab Swine Professorship Fund.

When fully funded, the endowed professorship will provide a stipend to a full-time faculty member at the Haskell Ag Lab, working in the area of swine research and Extension.

“The Nebraska Pork Producers Association has decided to recognize the phenomenal swine management work of Mike Brumm and Bob Fritschen by committing $25,000 to the University of Nebraska Foundation, in the name of the Haskell Ag Lab Swine Professorship,” says Rod Johnson, NPPA executive director. “This is our opportunity to honor two outstanding industry leaders, their unprecedented research and help guarantee future generations will continue to look to Nebraska as a cutting-edge leader in the area of grow-finish research.”

Nebraska Promotes Agriculture

Nebraska organizations have formed a new group, the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) to help farmers spread the word about the economic and social importance of agriculture and livestock to Nebraska communities.
