Nearly 140 pork producers from around the country were in Washington, D.C., last week to attend the National Pork Producers Council’s Legislative Conference. The producers met with House and Senate members and staff to discuss key issues facing the pork industry, including country-of-origin labeling, mandatory price reporting, child nutrition, tax policy and Waters of the U.S.
