To kick off this year's campaign, IPPA is launching the 2023 Pork Power themed t-shirt "I'm a Pig Deal."

Since the Pork Power program began in 2008, Illinois pig farmers—with support of the Illinois Corn Marketing Board and the Illinois Soybean Association—have provided Illinois communities with over 1 million pounds of donated pork, which equivalates to more than 3.3 million servings.
To kick off this year's Pork Power campaign, the Illinois Pork Producers Association is launching the 2023 Pork Power themed t-shirt "I'm a Pig Deal" along with messaging on the back highlighting that the proper cooking temperature for pork is 145 degrees Fahrenheit. For the first time, the shirt was chosen by IPPA followers who participated in an online voting contest.
Each year, IPPA designs a shirt to be sold throughout the calendar year and specifically during the Illinois State Fair. The proceeds go directly into the Pork Power program. You may purchase the t-shirts here.
"As farmers, we are deeply passionate about donating to our local communities, providing food to those in need, and further expanding the reach of pork, a healthy source of protein," says 2023 IPPA President Chad Leman. "The Pork Power program allows us to do all those things."
A donation of $20 will earn you a 2023 t-shirt. This includes shipping. Only adult sizes are available at this time. The $20 t-shirt purchase converts to 5 pounds of ground pork, equaling 20 servings of quality protein.
