Pork Industry's "We Care" Program Goes Online

Porkcares.com promotes the pork industry's We Care initiative dedicated to telling the public and policymakers about the industry's strong record of responsible farming and commitment to continuous improvement of production practices, says Dallas Hockman, vice president of Industry Relations for the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC).

This Web site was developed jointly by the NPPC and the National Pork Board, with partial funding by AgStar Financial Services.

The site covers industry commitment and principles, best practices in action, producer testimonials, videos and We Care news and announcements. “It addresses social responsibility of the pork industry and highlighted by video clips of producers committed to doing the right thing in their operations,” he says.
