How big is that pig?
National Hog Farmer
While pigs can reach 500 pounds if fed for many years, it is not the normal practice of modern hog production. A pig will weigh around 2.5 pounds at birth but it will double its weight in a week. At weaning time — typically two to four weeks — the pig will weigh around 20 pounds (varies by farm) and will grow to 220-280 pounds by six months. A mature sow (female) can weigh up to 300 pounds.
