Pork’s Nutritional Profile

A pork checkoff-funded study will analyze the nutritional content of pork in the marketplace.

Samples will be selected at grocery stores across the country and sent to laboratories to test for nutritional values.

The nutrients for a variety of cuts will eventually be available in the Agriculture Department’s database (www.usda.gov) which is accessed by a wide audience. For more information, go to www.porkboard.org.
