A comprehensive Web site for information about mycotoxins, produced in conjunction with Alltech, was launched in mid-July. The site, www.KnowMycotoxins.com, aims to educate various market segments in the animal feed industry on the impact of mycotoxins in feed and on livestock performance.
The interactive Web site allows participation in discussion forums and web casts.
“It is fantastic that a central information resource dealing with the issue of mycotoxins now exists,” comments Trevor Smith, University of Guelph, Canada, who was present at the launch. “This is an area of growing concern in the agricultural industry and people need to be educated on it.”
“Our goal is to deliver the latest technical and practical information to those who are searching for ways to maintain animal health,” says Pearse Lyons, president of Alltech.
