This inaugural report sets a benchmark on some of the most important areas of the business and will be used as a waypoint on the journey to help measure, report and verify progress in the future.

The alignment utilizing the company’s core values as the key performance indicators throughout the report was simple. The Maschhoffs core values (listed below) guide actions, investments, and expectations for how the people care for each other, the pigs, the environment, local communities, and customers.

  1. People and Partners

  2. Animal Husbandry and Sustainability

  3. Innovation

  4. Customer Focus

“We firmly believe these core values are what makes The Maschhoffs unique, and our pork much more than just a commodity. The partnership report is a report card of trust, providing a level of clarity and transparency. We look forward to sharing more about our progress in the future” noted Dr. Bradley Wolter, CEO and president of The Maschhoffs.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to The Maschhoffs is about being good stewards for the environment, consumers and in the communities in which they operate. Its’s sharing with the world that we provide a sustainable, safe product to consumers.

The information within the policies, performance and continuous improvement culture outlined in each section provides the reader with visibility and accountability into how the core values are translated into actions.

“Our promise to our employees, customers, partners, and consumers, is a continued commitment to sharing insights on how our commitment to our core values goes beyond words on paper” said Chairman Ken Maschhoff.

The Maschhoffs said they appreciate the support from Sustainable Environmental Consultants and their EcoPractices platform for the opportunity to measure, verify, and report the environmental footprint of our home farm and two production partners (Northwest IA and Central IL).

“At The Maschhoffs, we accept the responsibility to take care of our people, pigs, environment and communities by bringing our core values to life through our actions every day. Above all, it allows us to tell our story through our core values, The Maschhoffs way,” said Wolter, who thanked the National Pork Board for the opportunity and Context for the collaboration.
