What would an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) do to California?
The Center for Animal Disease Modeling and Surveillance (CADMS) is working with the University of California-Davis veterinary school to develop a modeling project to find out what the impact would be.
In order to produce the best model, questionnaires will be sent to livestock producers throughout the state in March. All information will be kept confidential and will only be used for modeling purposes, says Clair Spackman of CADMS.
For more information about the questionnaire or modeling project, phone CADMS at (530) 297-4621.
