Iowa State University (ISU) has slated a number of manure-related events in August and September.
The Iowa Manure Digester Conference is Aug. 20 at the Sportsman Restaurant, Oelwein. The conference will provide tips on setting up a farm manure digester to generate electricity. For details, contact Dan Meyer, agricultural engineering field specialist, 563-425-3331.
Manure Application and Simulated Manure Spill Response Field Day is Aug. 22 at the ISU Northwest Research and Demonstration Farm near Calumet.
