FBS Systems releases e.CLIPSE, the first software designed to meet NPPC managerial accounting standards for automated cost allocation. The Windows-based inventory valuation and cost-accounting system is also the only software that integrates production and financial data. It uses Activity Based Costing (ABC) logic to determine how resources, such as facilities, feed processing and indirect labor, should be allocated to each production stage or location in an operation. e.CLIPSE also posts work in process (WIP) to the balance sheet at the end of each accounting period and computes cost of goods at each sale or transfer between production stages. The system works with group or location-level accounting and with any combination of breeding, nursery, finishing or wean-to-finish stages. It interfaces with PigCHAMP and Smart Breeder for cost assignment to gestation and lactating pigs.
