Healthy Hogs Seminar is set for Oct. 28 at Sampson Community College in Clinton, NC.
North Carolina State University (NCSU) staff will discuss various hog disease issues.
NCSU’s Butch Baker, DVM, will talk about respiratory diseases of swine, followed by Carlton Rouse, DVM, of the diagnostic lab, providing details on lab submissions.
NCSU’s David Bishop will explain reproductive diseases. Mary Battrell, DVM, of Murphy-Brown will speak on gastrointestinal diseases.
Baker will also discuss diseases of the skin.
The afternoon session features a wet lab by Rouse demonstrating how to euthanize pigs and perform a postmortem in the field.
