The United States reached an agreement with Peru to allow for full access for U.S. beef and beef products to Peru by removing barriers (certification requirements) that have been in effect since 2003.

Last year the United States exported $245.4 million in beef and beef products to Peru but has been hampered by the burdensome certification requirements required by Peru since 2003.
