Seaboard Triumph Foods is pleased to announce the hire of James Profera as director of food safety and quality assurance.
Profera joins STF with over 15 years of experience in FSQA from Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. and is a Siouxland local from South Sioux City, Nebraska.
“I am excited to join STF because of the company-wide culture of innovation. With so much automation and technology intertwined with the processes, the ability to pivot and try new things is endless,” said Profera.
Built in 2017 in Sioux City, Iowa, STF is a joint venture between Seaboard Foods and Triumph Foods. Together, Seaboard Foods and Triumph Foods have aligned their farm operations and pork processing, including genetics, pig nutrition, animal care, food safety and product quality, to ensure consistent, wholesome premium pork products to its customers.
Seaboard Triumph Foods employs approximately 2,000 individuals, processes 20,000 hogs per day, and ships out over 25 million pounds of meat every week.
