North Carolina State University swine specialists will be presenting the latest advancements in research during the Swine Innovation Forum, slated for May 12 at The Maxwell Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Additionally, some of the most influential companies in the swine industry will highlight recent innovations. William Flowers and Mahmoud Sharara, both with NCSU, and Jeremy Howard, Smithfield Foods are just a few of the presenters.

At the Swine Innovation Forum the day will be packed with information not only for swine research professionals, but also empirical content that producers can apply to their specific on-farm needs. Topics include animal welfare, farm technology, integrating feed costs, nursery pig health and management practices for farm profit. Following each speaker presentation, there will be designated time for discussion with the researchers. There will also be a featured panel Q&A session in the afternoon.

In addition to the invited speakers, this year's event will feature student poster presentations. This provides an opportunity for future swine industry professionals to share their current research with others in the swine industry and related fields. This is not only a chance to exhibit student research to the public, but it is also a great way to interact with potential future employers.

Refreshments and a lunch of eastern North Carolina BBQ will be provided. To make sure you are on the mailing list to receive event updates and the registration form, contact Bailee Arnold at (919) 515-2716 or via email.

Last year's virtual forum presentations can be found on the NCSU YouTube channel.
