Christensen Farms is honored to have been chosen as the 2023 New Ulm Chamber Large Business of the Year. The company stated it is a great honor and are grateful for the recognition.

Christensen Farms Public Affairs Director JoDee Haala said the company's founder, Bob Christensen's passion was FFA. He was given two pigs at age 13 in 1974 and built a company that now has more than 1,000 employees in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Illinois and is one of the largest pork producers in the United States.

"We're uniquely positioned to produce some of the most sustainable food in the world," Haala said. "We produce crops, feed livestock and restore the soil. By 2050, the world will have more than 9 billion people with a deficit of beef, pork and poultry. We are humbled and honored to receive this award."

Christensen Farms thanks its employees, contract partners, business partners and all that contribute to the success of CF and for their part in this great honor. "With your continued commitment and dedication, we are able to fulfill the mission set forth by our founder, Bob Christensen to be an industry leader in responsibly producing high quality pork for the noble purpose of providing food to a growing world. We are proud to be Minnesota Born Midwest Grown."

Accepting the award on Christensen Farms behalf were JoDee Haala and Mary Ann Christensen.
