Pork Board Gains New Member

Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns has appointed Longford, KS, pork producer Roy Henry to serve a one-year term on the National Pork Board. The vacancy occurred when Carol Hein of Missouri resigned to take a job outside the pork industry. Nationally, Henry will serve on the Pork Checkoff's Pork Safety Committee. He will also serve on three committees within the Pork Board budget, audit and administrative.

Henry is owner of Henrys, Ltd., a 1,500-sow, farrow-to-finish operation that markets 25,000 hogs/year.
