Soybean meal net energy and productive energy higher in commercial pork production systems

How accurate are current book values on the net energy of corn?

July 26, 2024

The net energy of soybean meal has been estimated in several experiments at the University of Illinois. In these experiments net energy was estimated to be between 83 and 100% of the net energy in corn, which is greater than all current book values.

Joining us from Iowa Swine Day’s Preconference Symposium SOYBEAN MEAL 360º to discuss this research from academic and commercial facilities is Aaron Gaines, Ani-Tek Group, and Hans Stein, University of Illinois.
