Ron Prestage, DVM and president of Prestage Farms, tells National Hog Farmer the Eagle Grove, Iowa, plant hopefully will open in 2018, however, he will not commit to a date. The Prestage pork plant is taking shape with the roof being put in place. Currently, the Prestage team is talking to producers about potential marketing opportunities.
